YANO TADASHI
I take the idea of a 100-year life seriously, so I've treated my career as a series of reinventions. After a quarter-century at a Big Four audit firm—ten of those years as a partner—I earned a deep-learning certification (JDLA E), retrained as a data scientist, and started my own practice. Today I'm back in graduate school, researching natural language processing. I have AI read corporate disclosure, starting with securities reports, and look for the early signs of fraud in both the numbers and the text—connecting audit practice with statistics and NLP. Certified Public Accountant and licensed Tax Accountant.
Research
Tadashi Yano and Yasuhiro Ogawa, “The Role of Textual Information in Accounting Fraud Detection,” Proceedings of the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Association for Natural Language Processing (NLP2026), March 2026.
A look at how far the signs of accounting fraud can be read from the narrative of corporate disclosures, set against predictions from the financial numbers alone.

I combine "accounting" and "technology" to support your growth.
I have been involved in corporate accounting for a quarter of a century as a Japanese CPA. During that period, I felt that the information held by accounting was not being fully utilized.
With the power of cloud technology, it is now possible to record and check data more efficiently than ever before. Furthermore, with the rapid advancement of AI technology, we can gain various insights from the recorded data, and we believe that we can unleash the true potential of accounting.
Under the worldview where accounting and technology are integrated, won't you join me in creating the future?
Please feel free to consult with me.
